Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving day was kind of quiet. We had our neighbors Santana, Jordan and their little girl Ayden over. Joe cooked of course (a 21 pound turkey for the 5 of us)and Santana brought lots of sweets. Pumpkin pie, cookies and a fruit salad. I helped Ayden put together a gingerbread house early in the afternoon. I was a little shocked at how difficult these houses were to put together. I guess because the frosting is so sticky. But it turned out very nice.

On Friday. like every Friday the day after Thanksgiving we put up all the Christmas decorations. We changed the tree just a little this year. We got rid of the gold stars and put up gold angles. And I put a bunch of red birds on the tree. I guess it looks nice.
Friday evening we went to one of my favorite festivals. Glendale Glitter. The weather was just beautiful It was chilly but there was no wind and of course we dressed warm. The lights were beautiful, there were tons of people and some great shopping. We had a good time.

And I guess that was all of our excitement for the holiday weekend.

Nothing to Blog about

The last couple weeks have been pretty quiet around here. Other than taking Sam to the park on the weekends I really have nothing to post right now. We'll be out and about over the holiday weekend so hopefully I'll have something to share. I kind of miss putting pictures up every weekend. We were so busy in October with something going on every weekend it was easy to post a blog once a week.
I'll leave you though with a picture that was taken 5 years ago on Thanksgiving day. This is me and my dad. Look how great my dad looks. And look how short my hair is. I miss you Dad. But I'll see you in January.

An Afternoon With Sam

I took Sam over to the pet salon for Christmas pictures today. I was really surprised how many people were there. I hope we were able to get at least one good picture. With all the other people and dogs running around, I had a hard time getting Sam to sit still.
After pictures, it was such a beautiful day I took him over to the park. We spent almost 2 hours there. The weather was just awesome. And of course I took several pictures. It was a great day.
I'm glad we went out early because by the time I got home it was getting cloudy and more windy.
