Road Trip

Okay, so it was only 25 miles away but we still had a great time. I really enjoy shopping in Old Town Glendale. They have these cute little boutiques to shop as well as older homes in the historic district that have been turned into little country boutiques. They had some great Halloween decorations. Joe was very patient and drove me to several little shops. After shopping we had lunch at my favorite little German restaurant. Hause Murphy's. They have awesome food and the greatest soups. I love the downtown area of Glendale. They have a great festival during Christmas. Glendale Glitter.
After shopping all day and finding some great Halloween decorations, I was excited to get home and start decorating. Inside anyway. I'll decorate outside in a few weeks.
We leave for the Hot air Balloon Festival in Albuquerque on Saturday morning. I checked the ten day forecast and it looks like a few days of rain. At this point, we don't even care about rain. We're just looking forward to some cooler weather. It is still so hot in Arizona. It was 102 today. I hope I can get some good pictures for my next post.

Fall Background

Hi Everyone,

I'm back already. I've been playing around all day on the blog site and i've learned so much more. As you can see I have a new fall background. I'll probably change it a few times before I use one of the halloween layouts. Which are also really cool.

So I figured I'd post some of my favorite fall pictures i've taken over the years. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Getting Started

Hi Everyone,

I've been reading blogs for a short time now so I figured it was time to create a blog of our own. I don't know if any of you will really be interested but I thought it would be fun to post some our travels along with pictures as well some of the other things going on in our lives.

This is my favorite time of year. I love to travel during the fall just to see all the change in colors. And I especially love taking photos. Living in Arizona, we don't get the change of seasons, so for the most part, we see the same colors all year long. I do however decorate our home like a mad woman, with all the fall colors. I love it. I've been shopping like crazy and I'll start decorating probably next weekend.

We leave in 2 weeks to visit some friends in Albuquerque. We're really looking forward to some cooler weather as well as some change in the leaves. We will also be there during the Hot Air Balloon Festival so I hope to come home with some great pictures to post.

Last month we went up to Prescott for Joe's birthday. It was nice because it was the weekend of the Summer Art Festival. I love shopping in the courtyard during the festivals. My favorite is the Fall Festival in the courtyard but we already have plans this year so we can't go up. We also enjoy the cooler weather of course. I'll see if I can figure out how to insert pictures.

I guess that's about all for now. I'll write again soon.

Okay, so I figured out how to insert pictures however I don't know how to add text yet. I'll figure that out for next time. So............. The first picture was taken right on Gurley and Whiskey Row. We always stay at Hotel St. Michael because of it's location. Everywhere we like to go is within walking distance of the hotel so once we arrive and park the car, we don't have to move it again until we leave.

The second picture is the courtyard art festival and the third is us, out and about on Whiskey Row on Joe's birthday.

And that's it.
